December 2006 updates of the Simdex Publishing CD-ROMs.
Simdex Publishing has issued new updates of December 2006 for The Simdex Steel Tube Manufacturers Worldwide Guide and
The Simdex Future Pipeline Projects Worldwide Guide CD-ROMs.
1. In comparison with previous June 2006 release of The Simdex Steel Tube
Manufacturers Worldwide Guide information on more than 300 manufacturers has been modified and 30 new manufacturers have
been included.
2. There are 63 new projects of 22 000 km length since September 2006 update in The Simdex
Future Pipeline Projects Worldwide Guide database. The most of new pipelines will be built in Middle East and Asia (37) and
in North America (12). Eight new pipelines will be built in Africa, four new pipelines will be built in Europe and two ones in Latin
America. Information on pipelines moved during 2006 to the construction phase have been deleted from the database. Data on majority
of existing projects have been updated.

WinSteel. Since the last quarter we have added more than 3800 new grades in the database. For the most part
these are Chinese grades (including their alternative numerical specifications), American grades by ASTM, ESAB filler materials,
special steels and alloys of Sumitomo, Sandvik, Behler, Carpenter and other companies, offshore grades by Det Norske Veritas as
well as Russian and International (by ISO) ferro-alloys. The total quantity of grades in the WinSteel database is 70308
now.
WinAlloy. Since the last quarter we have added more than 700 new grades in the database. In most they are
Chinese, Italian and European copper alloys, special alloys by ASTM, commercial grades of Carpenter and Sumitomo as well as Russian
ferro-alloys. The total quantity of grades in the WinAlloy database is 34535 now.

Simdex Publishing has issued new update of September 2006 for The Simdex Future Pipeline Projects Worldwide Guide CD-ROM.
In comparison with previous release information on 47 new projects of 16 000 km length has been added. The most of new

Mittal Steel Ostrava respectively, frustrated new asset of Magnitogorsk Iron & Steel Works Pakistan Steel Mills, Joint Venture
of Severstal and Arcelor Group Severgal are among them. Besides this list inludes CIS producers of welded I-beams 149 Mechanical
Plant, Metal constructions Plant "Orion" and Ryazan Metal Constructions Plant SAK, producers of roll-formed profiles Baltic

these are American and British cast steels, Russian tube steels, international ferro-alloys as well as Canadian Weatherford and
German CARBODUR, NITRODUR, THYROFORT, ULTRAFORT and THERMON commercial grades. The total quantity of grades in the WinSteel
database is 66498 now.
WinAlloy. Since the last quarter we have added near 350 new grades in the database. In most they are
international ferro-alloys and European copper alloys as well as copper alloys of China, Italy, Hungary and Switzerland.
The total quantity of grades in the WinAlloy database is 33799 now.

New versions 4.0 of WinPlant. BLACK and WinPlant. RED software are available now!
The main differences of WinPlant, ver. 4.0 in comparison with previous version 3.5 are in the following:
- We changed the software style and included support of Windows XP themes.
- We made over the tree of product types. Now the tree consists of two main branches, i.e. steel products and
non-ferrous products and separate subbranches for each main branch. This allows us to divide more exactly products of plants,
produce both steel and non-ferrous products. So in comparison with ver. 3.5 of the software steel products of such plants are included
in WinPlant. BLACK only whereas non-ferrous products are included in WinPlant. RED.
- Besides saving information on plants and search results in HTML files the new version provides you to save these data in XML and
TXT files also.
- New tool software allowed us to format (as in RTF files) contact data of plants and information on traders of their products for
better perception.
- Now you can print or save in HTML, TXT or XML file information on products manufactured by plants according to any standard
selected by you.
- We completely made over the Help. In version 4.0 we use up-to-date HTML Help. This in our appearance makes easier operation with
the Help.
- Because of use Security Devices (HASPs) of new generation we made changes in modules of data commmunication between the software

commercial grades. The total quantity of grades in the WinSteel database is 66322 now.
WinAlloy. Since the last quarter we have added near 900 new grades in the database. In most they are American
Ni- and Zn-based alloys as well as refractory and filler materials. The total quantity of grades in the WinAlloy database is
33453 now.

Simdex Publishing has issued new updates of January 2006 for The Simdex Steel Tube Manufacturers Worldwide Guide and
The Simdex Future Pipeline Projects Worldwide Guide CD-ROMs.
1. The update of The Simdex Steel Tube Manufacturers Worldwide Guide
is focused on the Chinese market. All Chinese manufacturers have been reviewed and 61 new Chinese manufacturers have been included.
The Simdex Steel Tube Manufacturers Worldwide Guide now includes 142 Chinese manufacturers. Of these 142 manufacturers, 46 produce
seamless tubes (32%) and 100 welded tubes (70%). In total The Simdex Steel Tube Manufacturers Worldwide Guide database now
comprises 1,146 manufacturers in 82 countries.
2. There are 28 new projects since the November 2005 update in The Simdex
Future Pipeline Projects Worldwide Guide database. 153 oil and gas pipeline projects moved to the construction phase during
2005, accounting for 35 000 km / 22 000 miles and 7,8 million tonnes of steel tube. 297 future pipeline projects are listed in the
