December 2007 update of The Simdex Future Pipeline Projects Worldwide Guide.
December 2007 update of The Simdex Future Pipeline Projects Worldwide Guide CD-ROM is available now.
In comparison with previous data update information on 73 new projects of more than 26,000 km length has been added. The most
of the new pipelines will be built in North America (25), Asia (12), Europe (12) and Middle East (12). 6 new pipelines will be built
in Latin America, 4 in Africa and 2 in Australasia. 150 projects have been moved to the construction phase.
Now the software database contains data on 457 future pipelines and on 793 started or completed projects (since 2004).

New releases of 3rd quarter of 2007 of WinSteel, WinAlloy and WinPlant.
WinPlant. BLACK. Information on 17 new mills has been included in the database. 8 Turkish, Chinese and
Finnish producers, i.e. Baoshan Iron and Steel Co., Demirsan, Ekinciler Iron and Steel Industries Inc., Icdas Celik Enerji Tersane ve
Ulasim San AS, Izmir Demir Celik Sanayi A.S., Kroman Celik Sanayii A.S. and Outokumpu, new assets of Industrial Union of Donbass and
Industrial Metallurgical Holding Company Ajaokuta Steel Company (Nigeria) and Metal Ravne (Slovenia) respectively, new mill of
ESTAR Group Rostov Electric Steel Works, new independent asset of Vyksa Steel Works Pipe electric-welding production complex
(small and mean diameter pipes) as well as Russian producers BELENERGOMASH Research Works, Martensit and STAFF Group of companies,
Ukrainian TPK and Ukrinstrument and Kazakh Europrofile are among them.
Now WinPlant. BLACK database contains information on products of 486 plants including 64 plants of non-CIS countries.
We have reflected in the database reorganization and owners change of Gurjevsk Metallurgical Works and Frolovsky Electric
Furnace Steel Works (both are included in ESTAR Group). Names of Czestochowa Steelworks Ltd and Dunaferr Dunai Vasmu Zrt have been
changed. On base of Nikopol Seamless Tube Plant and Nikopol Tube Company Interpipe NIKO TUBE plant was orgazied.
We have added information on new shops of seamless tubes and wire launched at Byelorussian Steel Works and Uzbek Steel Works
respectively as well as new concaster installed at TMK-Resita and new tube welding mills on Ryazan Tube Plant and Trubostal Works.
Besides we have added information on new steel products developed by 11 plants. Information on 65 mills included in the database
earlier and their products and traders has been updated.
WinPlant. RED. Information on 8 new plants has been included in the database. Producers of secondary Al alloys
Aksay Metallurgical Company, Alyans-Don, UkrspetsMet as well as BK-Alprof (Al extrusion), Martensit (rotary castings), Safit
(Cu alloys castings), Asal-Metal (Cu alloys extrusion) and Ukrsplav (rods and pigs) are among them.
Now WinPlant. RED database contains information on products of 283 plants.
We have reflected in the database reorganization and owners change of ZMZ - Slide bearings plant (excluded from Severstal-Avto).
Names of Sumgayit Aluminium Works and Klimovsk Coin Billets Works GURT have been changed.
We have added information on new 1850 tons press installed at Agrisovgaz and new products developed by Novosibirsk
Integrated Tin Works. Information on 30 plants included in the database earlier and their products and traders has been updated.
WinSteel. Since the last quarter we have added more than 1500 new grades in the database. For the most part
these are European grades by new standards EN 10249-1, 10271, 10293, 10294-1, 10296-1, 10296-2 and 10326, Cr-Ni alloys by ISO and
JIS as well as commercial grades of some French and Italian companies. The total quantity of grades in the WinSteel database
is 74606 now.
WinAlloy. Since the last quarter we have added near 200 new grades in the database. In most they are European
heat-resistant and special alloys, Cr-Ni alloys by ISO and JIS as well as Russian copper alloys by new Russian GOSTs.
The total quantity of grades in the WinAlloy database is 37521 now.

In comparison with previous data update information on 76 new projects of 20,000 km length has been added. The most of the
new pipelines will be built in North America (20), Asia (16) and Europe (15). 11 new pipelines will be built in Middle East, 8 in
Latin America, 4 in Africa and 2 in Australasia. 110 projects have been moved to the construction phase.
Now the software database contains data on 535 future pipelines and on 635 started or completed projects (since 2004).

Holding Company - Acroni and its managing company Slovenian Steel Group, Croatian company Zeljezara Split, new MMK assets MRK -
Protective Coat and SMC MMK, Foundry-Rolling Plant in Yartsevo, Izhevsk Metallurgical Technology Scientific-Research Institute,
producers of forgings Dnepropress and Tyazhstankogidropress as well as a number of small Russian, Ukrainian and Kazakh producers of
welded tubes and roll-formed profiles are among them.
We have reflected in the database reorganization and owners change of Kashira Coated Steel Plant (managed by Comtech Group),
Module (managed by Ukrstalkonstruktsiya), Verkhnaya Salda Steel Works (excluded from Sinara Group). Names of Mittal Steel Kryvyi Rih,
Scoda Steel, Izhora Tube Company and Zavod Metiz have been changed.
We have added information on new equipment, i.e. continuous caster installed at Seversky Tube Works, tube welding mill

are grades by new EN standards, commercial grades of ThyssenKrupp, Deutsche Edelstahlwerke, Schmolz+Bickenbach, Geruk GmbH companies
as well as Russian heat-resistant alloys, powder grades and filler materials. The total quantity of grades in the WinSteel database
is 73045 now.
WinAlloy. Since the last quarter we have added more than 400 new grades in the database. In most they are Ni-
and Cu-based alloys by new Russian GOSTs as well as US Zn-based alloys. The total quantity of grades in the WinAlloy database is
37325 now.

You can download new software releases from our web-site now
Since 1st quarter of 2007 we give our users opportunity to download current updates of our software from our web-site within
the bounds of our Annual Support Service. So you can select the way of receipt of the
updates on CD-ROMs by mail as earlier or by download from our web-site now.
To provide this opportunity we have launched new coding of Security Devices (HASPs) since this quarter. So before your work with
the new software releases you have to update memory of your HASP. You can execute this with help of the HASPUpdate
utility and an individual security file with unique update codes for your HASP. The execution order of the HASP update
depends of the way of receipt of the updates you have selected.

the database. New US assets of EvrazHolding Columbia Structural Tubing, OSM Portland Steelworks, OSM Tubular - Camrose, OSM Tubular
- Portland, Rocky Mountain Steel Mills and their managing company Evraz Oregon Steel Mills, daughter enterprise of Mittal Steel
Ostrava Valcony Plechu, a.s., producer of iron tube casting Svobodny Sokol, several small Ukrainian producers of wire and welded
tubes, two new Azerbaijan steel producers and other companies are among them.
We have reflected in the database reorganization and owners change of Volgograd Steel Works "Red October" (excluded from

quantity of grades in the WinSteel database is 72447 now.
WinAlloy. Since the last quarter we have added near 900 new grades in the database. In most they are American
special alloys and refractory alloys on base of Mo, Nb, W and Zr. The total quantity of grades in the WinAlloy database is
36891 now.

Last updates of Simdex Publishing CD-ROMs
Our partner Simdex Publishing has issued new updates for The Simdex Steel Tube Manufacturers Worldwide Guide and
The Simdex Future Pipeline Projects Worldwide Guide CD-ROMs.
1. In comparison with previous December 2006 data update of The Simdex Steel Tube
Manufacturers Worldwide Guide information on more than 300 manufacturers has been modified and 30 new manufacturers have
been included.
2. There are 72 new projects of 29 000 km length since December 2006 update in
The Simdex Future Pipeline Projects Worldwide Guide database. The most of new pipelines will be built in Middle East and
Asia (34) and in North America (26). Twelve new pipelines will be built in Europe, four new pipelines will be built in Latin America.
Data on majority of existing projects have been updated.

Download new software releases from our Web-site. New rates for Annual Support Service
Since 2007 we bring in the following changes in our Annual Support Service:
1. Since releases of 1st quarter of 2007 you will have possibility to download the updates from our Web-site.
2. In the circumstances we'll bring in different rates for the support for users who download the updates from our Web-site
and for users who wish to continue to get the updates on CD-ROMs by mail.
3. The base rate for Annual subscription for one program if you download the updates from our Web-site is
EUR90. The discounts of 10%, 15% or 20% are used when you subcribe for support of sets of any 2, any 3 or all 4 programs
respectively. You have to add extra EUR90 to these amounts if you wish to receive the updates by mail on CD-ROMs.

4. The subscription rates for multi-user software versions depend of number of users now. To get the rates for the
2-5 multi-user versions you have to multiply the single support rates by 1.5. The same coefficient for the
6-10 multi-user versions is 2.

special alloys as well as Ni-, Mg- and Mn-alloys. The total quantity of grades in the WinAlloy database is 36005 now.
