WinSteel. In comparison with the previous data update we added new grades by standards JIS (Japan), GB/T (China), AS/NZS (Australia / New Zealand), MSS (USA), GOST R, GOST, OST, TU, STO (CIS countries), ISO as well as commercial grades of several steel companies. Information on grades included in several ASTM, API (USA), JIS (Japan), AS/NZS (Australia / New Zealand), IS (India), TU (CIS countries), was updated.

In a result of the addition of new grades the total number of grades included in the database is 212,695 now.

WinAlloy. We continued to adjust information on grades included in European (EN) standard. In comparison with the previous data update we added alloys by standards JIS (Japan), GOST (CIS countries), ISO. Information on grades included in several EN (Europe), JIS (Japan), GB/T (China) standards was updated.

In a result of the addition of new grades and the adjusment the total number of grades included in the database is 86,533 now.

WinPlant. BLACK. Information on 12 new mills and 6 new managing companies was added in the database. Russian, Byelorussian and Ukrainian producers of various types of tubes, roll-formed profiles and I-beams are among them.

Now WinPlant. BLACK database contains information on products of 731 plants including 77 plants of non-CIS countries.

We added in the database information on new equipment installed at four mills as well as on new products developed by 11 plants. Information on 126 mills included in the database earlier and on their products and traders, was updated.

WinPlant. RED. Information on 7 new plants was included in the database. These are Russian, Byelorussian and Kazakh producers of Cu cathodes, Pb alloys, Be ingots, Al profiles and Cu tubes and bushes.

Now WinPlant. RED database contains information on products of 370 plants including 13 plants of non-CIS countries.

We added in the database information on new products developed by 3 plants. Information on 65 plants included in the database earlier and on their products and traders was updated.

With data update of 3rd quarter of 2014 all current WinSteel and WinAlloy users will receive renewed versions of the software. In the renewed version at request of our users we improved the software usability and added additional service features:

1. Time of run of the software when the database files are loaded in a PC memory, was significantly reduced (on near 25-30%)
2. We added possibility to search for "relative" properties in WinSteel 7 Prof software. For example we consider as "relative" hardness HB, HBW and HBS, impact energy for close temperatures 20C, 25C and 27C, etc. So for example when you are searching by impact energy 20C, not only grades with impact energy defined at 20C but grades with impact energy defined at 25C and 27C also are taken into account. The same algorithm is used for other "related" properties also.
3. While you are operating with the software on Tablet PC under Windows the compulsory prohibition of screen keyboard call assigned by Microsoft, is ignored now.
4. The software is adopted to operate with new HASP SRM security devices.

The following new features are available for these security devices:

• It is possible to update HASP memory automatically; so when you prolong your support your HASP memory will be updated through Internet without your participation.
• There is no need to select the program mode (single/network/update) in the installation program now, this mode will be defined automatically and will correspond to the security device inserted in your PC.
• There is no need to install the security device driver when you install single software version, at that you have possibility to connect several HASPs to your PC now and they will not prevent to each other.
• For network versions there is no need to install and to setup the License Manager, it will be enough to install the HASP driver only.
• Now in any network you can have several HASP security devices, which can be used by different software programs (not ours only but other producers also) and connected to different PCs. The software will find the required HASP by itself.
• It is possible to operate with CD software version with new security device under terminal server now.
• New security devices provide significantly expanded possibilities to setup the network software versions for different configurations of user's networks.

New security devices HASP SRM are already supplied to all new software users starting with #2728. If number of your security device less than 2728 you have possibility to upgrade your HASP memory to use all the above features of HASP SRM.

In a result of the addition of new grades and the adjusment the total number of grades included in the database is 80,070 now.

WinPlant. BLACK. Information on 7 new mills and managing companies was added in the database. New US asset of EVRAZ Group EVRAZ Portland as well as Russian tube and pipe producers Novoryazanskiy Trubniy Zavod, Troitskiy Trubny Zavod, TrubProm and others are among them.

Now WinPlant. BLACK database contains information on products of 728 plants including 76 plants of non-CIS countries.

We added in the database information on new equipment installed at four mills as well as on new products developed by 12 plants. Information on 69 mills included in the database earlier and on their products and traders, was updated.

WinPlant. RED. Information on 5 new companies was included in the database. New RUSAL asset RUSAL Sayanskaya Foil and Russian producers of secondary alloys Vtorsplav and Samara Plant of the Secondary Alloys are among them.

Now WinPlant. RED database contains information on products of 365 plants including 13 plants of non-CIS countries.

We added in the database information on new equipment installed at two plants. Information on 31 plants included in the database earlier and on their products and traders was updated.

With data update of 2nd quarter of 2014 all current WinSteel and WinAlloy users will receive renewed versions of the software. In the renewed version at request of our users we improved the software usability and added additional service features:

1. We added possibility to print comparative diagrams of steel and non-ferrous grades.
2. In WinSteel 7 Prof we added Calculated Properties tree branch in information on properties of grades. In this branch calculated by composition density values are presented.
3. We considerably hasting scrolling of steel and alloy grade designation list. Now the scrolling is not practically hampered because of changing of content of window with information on a grade.
4. Now it is possible to screen information on a highlighted grade in a separate window by clicking the new button at the right. This possibility is useful in cases when you need to compare two or more grades directly on the screen.
5. In search by composition possibility to excluded grades with "framework compositions" from the search, is added.

In a result of the addition of new grades the total number of grades included in the database is 209,416 now.

WinAlloy. We continue to adjust information on grades included in European (EN) standard. In comparison with the previous data update we added Pt, Pd, Ir and Rh alloys by new GOST and GOST R standards as well as Al alloys by SANS standard. Information on Al alloys and filler materials included in EN and EN ISO standards was updated. In a result of the addition of new grades and the adjusment the total number of grades included in the database is 75,105 now.

WinPlant. BLACK. Information on 11 new mills and managing companies was added in the database. Russian manufacturers of forgings Zlatoust Machine-Building Plant and Izhevsk Foundry Plant, Russian producers of welded steel tubes Atlantik and SeverTube Company, Ukrainian manufacturer of rolled long products AB metal group and others are among them.

We added in the database information on new equipment installed at two mills as well as on new products developed by 10 plants. Information on 53 mills included in the database earlier and on their products and traders, was updated.

Russian and Ukrainian producers of extruded Al profiles Zlatoust Machine-Building Plant, Alfa-Pro and Efectprof, Russian producer of pigs of Al alloys Kamensk Aluminium Company as well as Russian producer of cast bronze bushes, rods and plates Izhevsk Foundry Plant are among them.

We added in the database information on new products developed by 3 plants. Information on 43 plants included in the database earlier and on their products and traders was updated.

With data update of 1st quarter of 2014 all current WinSteel and WinAlloy users will receive renewed versions 7.2 of the software. In the renewed versions at request of our users we added two new additional search and service features:

1. Context Search. During the search for foreign equivalents by comparison of compositions and properties as well as during the search for grades by composition and properties along with search by composition and search by properties new type of search by context, is available. The search by context is executed by names of standards covering steel and non-ferrous grades. This will allow you to bound the search by grades of required applications only (for example by grades used for tubes manufacture or for manufacture of galvanized sheets) or by different kinds of steels (carbon, structural, alloyed, stainless, etc.) or alloys (copper, bronze, brass, aluminium, titanium, etc.)
   
   
2. Temporary List of Grades. In version 7.2 new feature of saving of necessary grades in temporary list, is available. You can screen in this list any grade you need from the software database. Then information on all selected grades can be simultaneously printed or saved in an external file. This feature is useful for example in case when you need to select the best grade among several offered ones.

In comparison with the previous data update we added new grades by EN ISO, EN (Europe), SAE (USA), JIS (Japan), GB/T (China), AS (Australia), GOST R ISO, GOST R, GOST (Russia and CIS) standards as well as by international standards ISO. Information on grades included in ASME Section II Part A 2013 (177 standards), several GB/T, CSA, JIS and EN standards as well as commercial grades of Posco company, was updated.

In a result of the addition of new grades the total number of grades included in the database is 206,772 now.

WinAlloy. In comparison with the previous data update we added filler materials by EN 14700 (Europe) as well as special medical alloys by several Russian GOSTs. Information on grades included in ASME Section II Part A 2013 (special steels and alloys with Cr, Ni or Co content more than 25%) and in several GB/T and OST standards was updated. In a result of the addition of new grades the total number of grades included in the database is 70,575 now.

WinPlant. BLACK. Information on 17 new mills and managing companies was added in the database. New assets of Russian and Ukrainian holdings Evraz Caspian Stal (EvrazHolding), Severstal - Long Product Mill Balakovo (Severstal), Tyumen Electrostal (UMMC), Interpipe Steel (Interpipe) and others are among them.

Now WinPlant. BLACK database contains information on products of 719 plants including 77 plants of non-CIS countries.

We added in the database information on new productions lauched by two mills, new equipment installed on one mill as well as on new products developed by 7 plants. Information on 66 mills included in the database earlier and on their products and traders, was updated.

WinPlant. RED. Information on 12 new companies was included in the database. Three refinaries from Russia, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan as well as two producers of extruded Al profiles from Russia and Ukraine are among them.

Now WinPlant. RED database contains information on products of 368 plants including 13 plants of non-CIS countries.

We added in the database information on new products developed by 2 plants. Information on 56 plants included in the database earlier and on their products and traders was updated.

We have launched online version of our free product WinSteel Light. Functionally WinSteel Light Online is fully identical with the offline software version and allows to find foreign equivalents of near 500 the most popular steel grades of USA, Europe, Russia, Japan and China.
