In a result of the addition of new grades the total number of grades included in the database, grew by more than 10,000 grades to 626,072 grades now. The total number of steel standards referenced in the database, is 25,821.

During the last 12 months (1st quarter of 2024 - 4th quarter of 2024) 71,934 new grades were added in WinSteel database.

WinSteel 10 Producers (former WinPlant. BLACK). Information on 5 new mills and 1 new managing company was included in the database. These are producers of tubes BAZtube (Belarus) and Metak (Azerbaijan), Russian producers Rolling Plant L.Steel (roll-formed sheet profiles) and Troyka (forgings), Uzbek producer of polymer coated flat products Samarqand Metallurgical Zavodi and its managing company AZIA METALL PROF. 1 company was deleted from the database as it was reorganizated.

Module for joint work with spectrometers. An interface for joint work with the BRA-135 spectrometer, was optimized.

Update of the software The following updates have been made in the software:

• used algorithms for working with security device, were updated;
• algorithm for searching for equivalents by comparison of chemical compositions and properties, was updated;
• new setup features for joint operation with spectrometers, were added.

WinSteel 10 Producers (former WinPlant. BLACK). Information on 1 new Russian mill was included in the database. This is Novotroitsk Tube and Pipe Works - producer of seamless steel tubes. After clarifying the information, 8 previously withdrawn plants were returned to the database.

Now WinSteel - Manufacturers database contains information on products of 506 plants including 46 plants of non-CIS countries.

Information on products of 11 mills as well as contact data of 23 mills included in the database earlier, was updated. 6 companies changed their names or/and owners.

WinAlloy 10 Grades. In comparison with the previous data update we added non-ferrous alloys by ASTM, AWS (USA), EN ISO (Europe), GB/T, JB/T, YY (China), BS ISO (UK) as well as by International ISO and ISO/DIS standards. Information on grades included in ASTM (USA) and ISO (International) standards, was updated.

In a result of the addition of new grades the total number of grades included in the database, grew by more than 2,600 grades to 419,956 grades now. The total number of non-ferrous standards referenced in the database, is 18,941.

WinAlloy 10 Producers (former WinPlant. RED). Information on 3 new Russian plants was included in the database. These are producer of copper, brass and molibdenum wire Ameka, producer of ingots, bushes, rods and wire of copper alloys Special Metals and Alloys as well as Unyecha Plant of Refrectary Metals - producer of tungsten alloys. After clarifying the information, 4 previously withdrawn plants were returned to the database. 1 plant was deleted from the database as it was cancelled.

Now WinAlloy - Manufacturers database contains information on products of 339 plants including 5 plants of non-CIS countries.

Information on products of 3 mills as well as contact data of 13 mills included in the database earlier, was updated. 2 companies changed their names or/and owners.

In comparison with the previous data update we added new grades by ASTM, SAE AMS, AASHTO (USA), EN ISO (Europe), GB/T, YB/T (China), JIS (Japan), BS ISO (UK), AUTAAS (France), GOST R (Russia), International ISO, ISO/DIS and IEC standards as well as commercial grades of several steel companies. Information on grades included in several ASTM (USA), IS (India), GOST, GOST R (Russia) standards, was updated.

In a result of the addition of new grades the total number of grades included in the database, grew by more than 11,000 grades to 601,038 grades now. The total number of steel standards referenced in the database, is 24,792.

During the last 12 months (3rd quarter of 2023 - 2nd quarter of 2024) 60,428 new grades were added in WinSteel database.

These are producers of flat roll-formed profiles SteelCraft and DecaStroy Group of Companies as well as producer of rebars Armat. Module for joint work with spectrometers. An interface for joint work with the AXR Terra900 spectrometer by AXR Scientific Instrument (Hangzhou) company, was added.

Update of the software The following updates have been made in the software:

• during the search in automatic mode, the content of chemical elements presented as formulas: Ti > 5C, Nb = Nb + Ta, etc., are processed now;
• export of information on grades in JSON format, was added.

WinSteel 10 Grades. In a result of the addition of new grades the total number of grades included in the database, grew by near 18,000 grades to 589,872 grades now. The total number of steel standards referenced in the database, is 24,537.

During the last 12 months (2nd quarter of 2023 - 1st quarter of 2024) 55,225 new grades were added in WinSteel database.

In comparison with the previous data update we added non-ferrous alloys by ASTM (USA), EN, EN ISO (Europe), GB/T, GB, YS/T (China), JIS (Japan), GOST (Russia) as well as by International ISO/DIS standards. Information on grades included in ASTM A100-07 (2024) standard, was updated.

In a result of the addition of new grades the total number of grades included in the database, grew by more than 16,000 grades to 404,867 grades now. The total number of non-ferrous standards referenced in the database, is 18,585.

During the last 12 months (2nd quarter of 2023 - 1st quarter of 2024) 47,002 new grades were added in WinAlloy database.

In a result of the addition of new grades the total number of grades included in the database, grew by near 7,500 grades to 572,026 grades now. The total number of steel standards referenced in the database, is 24,100.

During the last 12 months (1st quarter of 2023 - 4th quarter of 2023) 44,999 new grades were added in WinSteel database.

Since this quarter we started to input in the database information on application temperature for US, European, Chinese and Russian steel grades.

WinSteel 10 Producers (former WinPlant. BLACK). We added in the database information on 2 new plants. These are Russian producer of roll-formed sheet profiles LIDER-M and Russian producer of rods, tubes, sheets and foil from precision alloys Ural Non-Ferrous Metal-Processing Works. 9 plants were deleted from the database as they were liquidated, reorganizated or changed their business. Besides we temporarily removed from the database 40 Ukrainian plants until the information is clarified.

Now WinSteel - Manufacturers database contains information on products of 485 plants including 44 plants of non-CIS countries.

Information on products of 22 mills as well as contact data of 43 mills included in the database earlier, was updated. 6 companies changed their owners and/or names.

WinAlloy 10 Grades. In comparison with the previous data update we added non-ferrous alloys by ASTM (USA), GB/T (China), JIS H (Japan), GOST (Russia) standards. Information on grades included in ASTM (USA) and GOST (Russia) standards, was updated.

In a result of the addition of new grades the total number of grades included in the database, grew by more than 1,500 grades to 388,763 grades now. The total number of non-ferrous standards referenced in the database, is 18,365.

During the last 12 months (1st quarter of 2023 - 4th quarter of 2023) 40,365 new grades were added in WinAlloy database.

WinAlloy 10 Producers (former WinPlant. RED). Information on 5 new Russian plants was included in the database. These are manufacturers of extruded Al profiles RIAK and Union Torg Market, producer of secondary Al alloys RIAL Aluminium Alloys Works, producer of forgings of Ti alloys GIPERION Metallurgical Plant and producer of foil from precision Cu- and Ni-based alloys Ural Non-Ferrous Metal-Processing Works. 3 plants temporarily suspended their activity. Besides we temporarily removed from the database 10 Ukrainian plants until the information is clarified.

Now WinAlloy - Manufacturers database contains information on products of 328 plants including 4 plants of non-CIS countries.

Information on products of 8 plants as well as contact data of 18 plants included in the database earlier, was updated. 7 companies changed their owners and/or names.

Software. The following updating was made in the software tool:

• we added recognition of TXT files for DFS500 spectrometer;
• a bug of sorting names of countries in the upper right window of the list of steel grades of the selected name, was fixed;
• the stability of the software was increased for cases a PC with the software running, was not restarted for several days;
• operation with HASP SRM security device, was updated.
