WinSteel. By request of our users we adjusted information on grades included in EN standard as well as in ASTM and ASME standards. Besides in comparison with the previous data update we added new grades by ISO, GB/T and Q/BQB and GOST standards. Information on grades included in some EN, GB/T and IEC standards was updated.

In a result of the adjustment and addition of new grades the total number of grades included in the database was increased in near 2 times and is 162,740 now.

WinAlloy. By request of our users we adjusted information on grades included in EN standard. Besides in comparison with the previous data update we added new grades by new EN, GB/T, GOST and ISO standards.

In a result of the adjustment and addition of new grades the total number of grades included in the database was increased by near 30% and is 51,364 now.

WinPlant. BLACK. Information on 16 new mills and 2 managing companies was added in the database. Turkish MMK asset MMK - Atakas Istanbul, new joint venture of TMK and HUMBEL Limited - TMK-KPV, Dneprovsky Tube and Pipe Works, Lipetsk Tube Works, Yaroslavsky Tube Works and others are among them.

Now WinPlant. BLACK database contains information on products of 676 plants including 81 plants of non-CIS countries.

We reflected in the database integration of West-Siberian Steel Corporation and Novokuznetsk Iron and Steel Works, integration of ZAPORIZHSTAL in Metinvest Holding as well as integration of Istil (UK) in MeChel Group

We added in the database information on new mill 2000 installed at MMK and new tube-welding units installed at Volzhskiy Tube Section-Shaped Plant and ARINOI Group of Companies as well as new products developed by 11 plants. Information on 69 mills included in the database earlier and on their products and traders was updated.

WinPlant. RED. Information on 4 new plants has been included in the database. These are Russian companies Galion-Invest, INSI, Voestalpine Arkada Profil and ELEMASH-SPETSTRUBPROKAT.

Now WinPlant. RED database contains information on products of 357 plants including 16 plants of non-CIS countries.

We have added in the database information on new products developed by 2 plants. Information on 27 plants included in the database earlier and on their products and traders has been updated.

WinSteel. Since the last quarter we have added more than 550 new grades in the database. For the most part these are grades by new GOST R, JIS, GB/T and ISO standards. Information on grades included in some API and GOST standards has been updated. The total quantity of grades in WinSteel database is 85543 now.

WinAlloy. Since the last quarter we have added near 550 new grades in the database. In most these are solders and filler materials by EN 1044, ISO 17672 and ISO 3677. The total quantity of grades in WinAlloy database is 40493 now.

WinPlant. BLACK. Information on 12 new mills and 5 managing companies has been added in the database. New asset of Severstal namely Severstal-Gonvarri-Kaluga, Russian Steel Company, producer of seamless tubes Vyatka and others are among them.

New Turkish asset MMK - Atakas of MMK, Georgian-Indian JSV developed on base of Rustavi Steel Works, new asset Nizhny Tagil Pipe Works of METALLINVEST Company as well as several small Russian producers are among them.

We have added in the database information on new press installed at KAMASTAL and productions of seamless tubes and long products at ISD Czestochowa Steelworks Ltd and Marcegaglia respectively as well as new products developed by 9 plants. Information on 54 mills included in the database earlier and on their products and traders has been updated.

WinPlant. RED. Information on 3 new plants has been included in the database. Byelorussian PAK Group of Companies, Ukrainian Expometal and Kazahstansky Electrolysis Zavod are among them.

Now WinPlant. RED database contains information on products of 349 plants including 16 plants of non-CIS countries.

We have added in the database information on new equipment installed at Kamensk-Uralsky Non-Ferrous Working Plant as well as new products developed by 3 plants. Information on 21 plants included in the database earlier and on their products and traders has been updated.

WinAlloy 7 is developed on base new algorithms and tools used in WinSteel 7, which was issued in January 2011.

Its main differences from version 1.5 consist in the following:

• WinAlloy 7 is fully compatible with Windows 7, the software operation was considerably accelerated and became intuitively to more clear. At that we have considerably reduced a number of procedures of the software and simplified operation with it.


• In WinAlloy 7 we have refused menus, the software management and call of software procedures is realized by means of buttons-icons.


• The list of alloys included in the software database consists of two parts now: the main list where there are not duplicated specifications as well as references to countries and standards and dynamically changing additional specifying list.


• The search of a grade in the database by mask has been modified and considerably accelerated.


• In WinAlloy 7 we have refused concept of "Fast search". All equivalents which could be found in result of the Fast search are displayed in a Equivalents page of the information on a grade window and are grouped by countries.


• Search for equivalents by comparison of chemical compositions became intellectual. Now you won't need to choose search type, to setup its parameters, to select elements for search, etc. All it will be made for you by the software automatically.


• At the same time experts can spend this search in an expert mode in which we have kept possibility of manual selection and individual setup of elements for search.


• In different way information on standards is presented. Now, having chosen the necessary standard in the list, you will see not only its name, but list of alloys covered by the standard also. Having clicked any alloy from this list, you receive information on it, including the list of its foreign equivalents.

New Canadian asset Evraz Regina Steel of Evraz Holding, Italian company Marcegaglia and its Russian asset Marcegaglia RU Vladimir, Urals Metallurgical Plant, Ukrainian Melitopol Factory of Auto-Tractor Parts as well as several small Russian and Ukrainian producers are among them.
